סוף סוף ה IAUDIO M5/X5 מוצגים לראשונה בתצוגה... הנגן אמור להחליף את ה M3 שקיבל ביקורות חיוביות מאוד, עם חסרון המרכזי שלא היה מסך... עכשיו לא רק שיש מסך במכשיר עצמו, יש גם מסך LCD צבעוני, הצגת תמונות וסרטים (בעבר דיברו שגם תומך ב AC3 ורזולוציה גבוהה בלי קידוד מחדש), HOST, ושאר הדברים שיש מהדגם M3 הישן... (עדיין אין לו אופציה לנווט בעזרת ID3TAGS רק ע"י תיקיות...)

The X5 is 10 x 7 x 14 mm big, and weights 148g (including the battery).

There will be two variant of the X5, one called X5 (the one as we know) and the X5L which is the X5 with 35h of battery life. For both of them there will be a 20GB and a 30GB, and there will also be 60GB model but for the X5 only. The difference of thickness between the X5 and the X5L is only about 5mm.

It will ship in Europe (in Germany at least) in April with the price tag of 349Euro for the X5 20GB, 379Euro for the X5 30GB, 499Euro for the X5 60GB. As for the X5L variant, it will be 389Euro for the X5L 20GB and 419Euro for the X5L 30GB.

כמו כן, המתחרה של ה GMINI בדגם ה IAUDIO A2 גם הוצג (אם כי הוא עדיין לא בשלבי בשלות כמו הנגנים האחרים):

The A2 will be available in 20GB or 30GB sizes. Its measurements are 78 x 133 x 22 millimeters.

Moving video files supported are: DivX, DiVX , XviD and WMV. Still files supported are: JPEG, GIF und BMP. OSG will make it possible to load pictures from digital cameras directly to the player.

Audio files supported are: WMA, WMA 9, AC3 5.1, , OGG, G.726, WAV and ASF. There is a radio.

Image display is a 4 inch screen(?) in 16:9 format. Resolution is 480 x 272 pixels. It can be connected to and record from TVs and players in MPEG-4 (720 x 480 pixels resolution at 30 fps.)

The A2 will be available in Germany and Austria June 2005. Price is to be determined as well as availability.

רק תיקון קטן: ה-X5 לא אמור להחליף את ה-M3, הוא יהיה בנוסף.

ה-M3L יהיה למי שמחפש נגן בעל שעות רבות.

ה-X5 יהיה למי שמחפש מכשיר עם מסך צבעוני (וכל שאר הפיצ'רים שתיארת), מן הסתם על חשבון שעות ומחיר.

ה-M3L יגיע רק בנפח 20GB. ה-X5 יגיע רק בנפח 40GB (או יותר), כדי ליצור הבדלה בין הדגמים.
